Kauai cottages

Kauai features many cottages to stay in, many of them right by the ocean. They share many characteristics with the condo in that they are more spacious and homelike than a hotel room. Additionally, though, cottages are often furnished more particularly and have a greater historical tie-in.

The cottage provides a cozy, intimate experience, and they are often reserved for long term use. Visitors will have more space, and usually a kitchen. Cottages are located in many different parts of Kauai.

One unique feature of many of Kauai’s cottages is that they are often leftover family houses from sugar plantations, back when sugarcane was the island’s largest industry. This history means unique architecture and furnishings. Today, cottages are available for couples, family or friends, or even those who come alone.
